Inventory Controller:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
• Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
• Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
• Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
• Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; place and process orders for shipment
• Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Track rates of accuracy, purchase, and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions; do variance reporting
• Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
• Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed
• Dealing with banks and exchange houses, manage timely shipment payments
• Clear shipment with customs and handle goods receiving procedures to final destination, which includes unloading, and dealing with laborers
• Regular visits to different locations
• Other accounting and adhoc tasks fulfillment

Inventory Controller Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; preferably in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• Minimum of two year of related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics
• Proficient with MS Excel and other standard office technology
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP software, experience in Quickbooks will be additional plus.
• Knowledgeable in input process and documentation
• Good work ethic who's a strong team player - able to provide solid support to manager
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work for long hours and during holidays if needed
• Physical ability to lift 10-25 pounds and sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is an advantage
